About Us
The Sant'Eustachio Cultural Association was created to support and promote important architectural sites along the Amalfi Coast, in particular those sites in the beautiful medieval village of Pontone, a noble section of the of adjacent village of Scala. Dominating Pontone’s charming center are the ruins of the Basilica of Sant'Eustachio.
The Cultural Association has adopted this name to honor the beauty and importance of the site, and we are planning a unique cultural event that highlights the history, arts and food of this picturesque area. This event, "Costa d’Amalfi in the Middle Ages," will feature theater, music and local culinary specialties, and participants will dress in period costumes that accurately reflect those worn from the medieval period to the Renaissance. "Costa d’Amalfi in the Middle Ages" will take place in one of the loveliest settings in the area, honoring its historical importance and respecting the sensitivity of the architecture and structures.
